Cancer Programs

BREATHING ROOM™ - The program is designed to meet the emotional needs of anyone who has been diagnosed with lung cancer.

PEACE OF MIND™ - The program is designed to meet the emotional needs of anyone who has been diagnosed with a brain tumor

PEERING THROUGH - offers an opportunity for individuals who have lost a spouse to cancer to meet with "peers." This gathering is to help individuals re-acquaint themselves with single living, as well as reconnect to society. PEERING THROUGHTM will allow individuals to share their experiences through a unique blend of social activity and professional support.

BELOVED™ is a support group for those couples who are living with cancer and other long-term illnesses. This program is designed to deal with the issues related to the affects on marriage, children, finances, and sexuality.

COMMON GROUND™ is a support group for caregivers to share their concerns and experiences, and to gain useful information. The mission of Common Ground TM to give everyone who travels the journey of terminal illness comfort and respite.

Retreats

SANCTUARY™ is a two-day retreat held once each season, which is specifically geared towards the emotional and physical well-being of women who are living with cancer. This program’s mission is to promote emotional and spiritual healing through massage, yoga, journal writing, art therapy, meditation and other workshops.

Bereavement Programs

Bereavement support is offered in the form of a support groups for both adults and children. The programs are designed to deal with the issues related to grief, death and dying.  The adult groups are specifically geared towards individuals who have lost a loved one at least six months prior to the initial session.

SONATA™ is a bereavement support group for those individuals who have lost a loved one through sudden death.

AVALANCHE™ is a bereavement support group for those individuals who have lost a loved one through sudden death.

TEDDY BEAR CLUB™ is a four week program that explains death, dying, grief, bereavement and mourning to children ages 5-9 years old who have lost a loved one. The program is a combination of discussion and age specific activities designed to assist each child in understanding and moving through their grief process.

KALEIDOSCOPE™ is a four week program that explains death, dying, grief, bereavement and mourning to children ages 10-15 who have lost a loved one
